Allie's First Triathlon and Jackson Trip

This past weekend was very eventful. May 16th was a popular date for weddings and parties. May 16th is also the day I became a Triathlete. That’s right. I completed my first Triathlon (Soak up the Sun) on Saturday @ Reunion in Madison, MS. I couldn’t have done it without Chad. He was there to motivate me while I trained and he was there to cheer me on and take pictures Saturday. I had 3 goals for Saturday and I met all of them. I finished in 1 hour 14 minutes and 50 something seconds. I don’t have the actual stats for each segment since the server is down. I hope to get those soon so I can begin training to beat those times. Chad is planning to do one with me later this year. Below are a few pictures from Saturday:

Chad and Me before my race started. It was really early.

Ginger and Me right before the swim.

Me after T1 leaving for the 8 mile bike.

Chad and Me after I crossed the finish line. It was so hot!

This is Me and my bike on my car. We are headed to Soulshine to Refuel after the race.

In additional to my Triathlon in Madison we made time for some fun things. On Thursday we had dinner with Chip and Lisa @ Bravo, one of my favorites. It was wonderful. Thanks again Chip and Lisa. Friday we did some shopping and had lunch with Stephen, Bubba, and Duff from Venture @ Keefer’s. Friday night we had dinner @ Tico’s with my parents and went to bed early. Saturday morning was my triathlon. Saturday night we attend Ginny Stearns Wedding and Reception and Mary Baldwin Temples Wedding Reception. Both were lots of fun but I was exhausted so we didn’t stay out late. Then on Sunday DD and Dink had the whole family @ their boat house on Lake Caroline for lunch. It was great to see everyone. Below are some more pictures from our trip to Jackson:

Thanks Krisa! I followed a plan that included weights, running, swimming and biking. It was definitely a challenge and I hope to do another one this year.

Hey Katy! Cliff indicated it was crazy. We need to make plans to get together soon. Tell Cliff - Chad and I are thinking about doing the MS 150 and we would love to be on their team!
