Anniversary Road Trip...

Chad and I celebrated our 1 year Wedding Anniversary on Monday June 9th! It’s amazing how time flies. On our Anniversary my Parents gave us a Cake Party! We invited our family and wedding party. We were sad that not all of our wedding party could attend. After all it was a Monday and we do have real jobs! So they were with us in spirit. Hope to see all of them very soon…….
This is what our cake looked like a year later:

I was very surprised it tasted as good as it did.

For our Anniversary my Uncle Dave gave us a Chase Lounge.

This is not just any Chase Lounge but the one that was in my room as a child. Our family is known for swapping furniture and now it is back to me. I was so shocked but very honored that he remembered I wanted it and very special to receive as an Anniversary gift. Thanks Uncle Dave!

On Tuesday Chad and I embarked on our Road Trip! After a rough start we ended up in Chattanooga. We made a must see stop at Rock City. If you have never been you should go. It is located on Lookout Mountain where you can see 7 states at once.

We brought back one of the famous See Rock City Bird Houses that I hope Chad will assemble soon. We enjoyed dinner @ Blue Water and stayed Downtown.

On Wednesday we made our way to Asheville, NC. This is a very laid back town. If you are into locally grown produce, Free Range Animals, and natural items this is the town for you. Chad and I enjoyed our stay and hospitality for a few days.
Our main objective was touring The Biltmore. This is one of those things you just need to go do.
Here is a picture of us before we toured:

After touring the home we had lunch @ The Bistro located next to the Winery and then toured the Winery. We are now planning a trip to CA for wine tasting!

On our way back home we made a pit stop @ Trader Joes in Atlanta for some food and wine. We continued on to Birmingham Friday to stay with my cousin Laura. We returned on Saturday just in time to re-energize for Father’s Day and a new work week.

This looks like so much fun! I've always wanted to visit Asheville and the Biltmore. Sound like the perfect road trip. Next time y'all go up there you gotta go to the NOC for some rafting.
