This time it was yard drainage. Chad and I installed a catch basin and piping to move water across the yard. Half way through we completely understood why Landscape Companies charge so much.
Beginning -
After careful planning we purchased supplies at a local store - Keeling. When we told them we were doing the digging they laughed. They sales guy recommended we rent a trencher.
The green pipe is laid out where we will dig.
Middle -
The digging went faster on Sunday. Partly because it was drizzling rain and the ground was softer. I can't tell you how many people stopped and asked us if we knew it was raining. I know they were being funny but it made the project take longer.
Also, Glad we didn't rent a trencher. We would have spent more money fixing our sprinkler system pipes!
End -
Due to the rain this week Chad and I finished on Wednesday. We checked to make sure our pipe was constantly sloping down and covered it up. I think it was even harder putting the dirt back. Below is the out come.
Next we need to move around some more dirt and start working on our flower beds.
